Stake Institute Teacher Training

Annual Focus: Elder Clark G. Gilbert’s emphasis on inspiring teachers to help students become lifelong disciples.

Consider: As stated by Elder Gilbert in January 2025, “When we teach our students to learn diligently by becoming active participants, we are also teaching

them how to seek and receive direction from the Holy Ghost. It is this skill set that will bless them long after they have left our classrooms.”

Teaching in the Saviour’s Way

Stake Institute teachers are trained by and under the direction of full-time S&I personnel and/or stake Institute supervisors. Each stake Institute teacher should have access to: Teaching in the Savior’s Way. They should be familiar with its contents and refer to it again and again.

Institute Training

As part of your calling, you are invited to participate in regular discussions, and some stake and multi-stake meetings:

▪ Regularly, you will meet virtually or by phone for 30 minutes with your S&I Coordinator to counsel together how best to move forward in your Institute

responsibilities.

▪ Multi-Stake Institute Teacher & Leader Training Meetings

o Saturday 10th Jan EMP Chapel 8:00 – 11:00am

o Saturday 30th May EMP Chapel 8:00 – 11:00am

o Saturday 12th Sept EMP Chapel 8:00 – 11:00am

▪ Stake Institute Teacher Training

o At your institute location: March, July & November (confirm the date and invite your local coordinator to attend)
